Default Bad fuel pump symptoms?

My car has been acting weird lately. It kind of cuts out under WOT, feels like spark blowout or something similar. Yesterday it got worse - boost is still fine and no CEL but it actually bogs under WOT. It only happens after the car has been driven for a while and I go WOT. I noticed the wideband read a 12.1, it would jump from 11.6 when it was happening. Does this sound like a bad fuel pump? I can switch the car off for a minute then restart it and it's fine. I had this happen before and it was the fuel pump...you could restart the car and it'd prime again and be fine for a while.

The car has 65k miles and stock fuel pump without a rewire or anything special...I figured it was about time for it to go. Wouldn't a clogged fuel filter cause it to happen all the time? Also do the Walbro kits come with a new filter or would this be something I'd need to buy separate?

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago, sometimes when I turned on the car it would stumble, and then I noticed that sometimes I wouldn't hear the pump with the ignition on. Turned out to be the fuel pump relay. I swapped it out with the horn relay (they are the same) and the problem disappeared.

Anyway, my fuel pump quit and left me stranded tonight, was using the search function and came across your thread, good luck.

Check your fuel pressure. Mine was doing the exact same thing and fuel pressure was dropping way to low under boost.

Yeah I thought about doing that but I don't have anything to check the fuel pressure with. I ordered a Walbro pump and rewire kit so I'm hoping that fixes it. I was going to do that anyway eventually anyway so if this doesn't fix it then I guess I'll buy a fuel pressure test kit.
