Very good How-to's Super Steve.
Hope you get your pump back soon. Mine pump/fuel setup is similiar to yours but I made mine own 1/2" stainless tube pickup. Just couldn't justify paying for 35 ft while only needing 2-4 ft of aluminum tubing.
One of the differences between our setups is I had mine A1000 control by the ems and my 255 walbro pump is still controlled by stock pcm.
My planned was to have the stock pump connected parallel with the Aeromotive's connecting the stock system to the middle port on the Lorenzo fuel rail. And just like you said, to have the intank pump as an back up and also when their are less then 1/4 tank gas to prevent fuel starved. The problem I ran into was strickly my fault by over tighten a pipe thread 90* elbow and it leaks. A pipe plug seems to cured the problem but I am without the stock line connection for now until either I have the 90* welded on the rail or get a new one.
Hope it all goes well with installing the Hydra. I am sure you'll keep us posted?
hey super steve how much did u pay for the fuel safe pickup tube??

Those pumps are pretty freakin loud. Have not seen one mounted that far back though, maybe its not as loud?
I found along with their Pump Driver, it is not quite as loud on anything under 3500rpm. I can hear it much louder than most of you because my car has an muffler to quiet the exhaust; I don't mind it so far.
To solved that problem, all you guys need to do is install a louder exhaust system to drown out the pump noise?
it seems through reading that there have been some failures with the a1000 and this makes me uneasy about going with the a1000. does anyone have any experience with other large pumps that they feel comfortable sharing?
also, i was thinking about using the stock pickup instead of the low profile pickup similar to what dsmlights mentioned. has anyone else done this yet?
My sig has some pics of mine (a little different setup) but you can get the general idea. I used a cup style sump cut into the bottom of the tank for the feed instead of a pickup tube though.
