Morette Canada finally did today. Price is $655.00CAD for the headlights, approximately $590.00USD.

Wow that's some serious cabbage! I better start rummaging around the house for some stuff to sell on eBay if I'm gonna get those any time soon.
Do they just hook right up or is there wiring/splicing involved

Thanks, at least now we know that they haven't abandoned the lights anyway!

They did not abandon them compleatly they just are not DOT legal I believe. Which means you can get a ticket for having them on your car.

They are available for sale in Canada, so for US customers, the responsiblity lies on the customers at this time, that is until they achieve DOT approval.

Yeah, I realize that. Personally, I have never heard of a cop checking headlights for a DOT mark. Hell, if I have been Ok with my tinted windows in PA, then I can't imagine much trouble from the lights. That is the main reason I wanted to know if they are direct plug-and-go replacements, so I can swap them out if needed at inspection time.
So...are they plug and go? Do you know what the DOT issue was? Light output??

Now just to get the $$$

No you probably wont have any issues with them, I just wanted to make sure you were aware they are not DOT approved. That way you would not be on here bitching out CTA if you got pulled over and ticketed. Thats all.

Awwww C'mon, couldn't I bitch just a lil' Nah, I realize the risk is all on me....altho my list of questionable visual mods would be growing (PA is goofy) blacked out side markers, blacked out 3rd brake light, tinted windows, SEE....well at least I have all the stock parts in the garage if I ever get pinched on them. That's one reason I need to know if they can be swaped in/out with the stockers.
