Default Should I...

Hey guys/gals,

quick question. I am currently having issues with A LOT of smoke coming from my car. Sent the turbo to get checked out and everything is A OK. My next thought is either bad head gasket or stretched (lifted) head bolts. I have a GT3076 and during tuning i spiked 26-30lbs so im thinking i might have either lifted head bolts OR blew my head gasket. ANYWAY, back to my question, i purchased a DCR 5 layer and i was wondering if i should replace my head bolts? (i know you have to step tourqe them AND put a quarter turn on them) If so, with what kind? (any suggestions???). I normally run between 20-22 psi and dont plan to push any more.

I appreciate your time....

Drive safe.

Default

you HAVE to replace them since they are 1 time use bolts.

i got a set of stock studs put on my setup. if you never push past 26psi, they'll pretty much hold up great

my car never really sees past 22psi, so paying $30 for a set of studs vs. 175-300 was clearly a better option for me.
