Default port work on head *pics*

just figured i would share some pic of my head going on the ol srt soon.











basic head. port polish 5 angle valve job +1mm valves bc springs and retainers

eek no way. thought about it but after practicing on old head i said no way.
local small shop did it for me. guy used to work for afr. cheap cheap cheap

I hear ya bro if I had an extra head and a experienced machinist walking me through it then I would consider a DIY like that.

oh btw that exhaust picture is port matched... what u see there is were the raised "lip" on the exauhst gasket sat. not sure what that was about but anyway... there u go if u were wondering about that.

it's not bad, but they went alittle crazy on the intake ports. Make sure you spent sometime and do the intake manifold too!!!! Should give you nice gains.


Here's my attempt at porting a head for my srt. I bought a brandnew casting and went to town. I spent 8-10hours on the porting. I am 100% happy with the end results.

Yeah but yours ran alot more than $450 I am sure, not knocking on FFP's work it looks great and I am sure the flow numbers and dyno gains are great. But it is not very often that you can pick up a ported head, +1 valves and aftermarket springs/retainers for $450 total!!!
