Default Are my cams to small?

Fully built engine with CP 8.5:1 pistons
50 trim 25-30psi
DP nitrous
DP 100% meth inj
fully ported race head
1mm oversize SI valves
upgraded rockers
5 layer HG
BC springs
DSP tuning
55mm TB
Self ported intake manifold.

The cams I have are crane 14s. I probably wont go bigger on the turbo because of the DP nitrous. Will these cams be a good match for my application? I probably wont be shifting over 6800 rpms.

I saw a car pick up 26hp on the same dyno and same tune by going from crane 14s to 16s...

what is your power band, i would think 14's would be fine but if you want a little more up top but less tq go to 16's . but with the 50trims quick spool this could hurt you

those 14's with the split duration is good for spool on a journal bearing 50. they are good cam's all around once dialed in.. like nutz said bigger cam more top end,but you sacrafice tq down low.

Going to 16s could hurt your 50 trim performance.

its a question of backpressure VS. overlap, if you are pushing a turbine to the limits the backpressure will allow exhaust charge to seap back into the intake charge with more overlap lowering the overall VE untill the velocity (energy behid the intake charge) will over come the back pressure in higher RPM's

Ok, well 16s are kind of hard to find anyway so which would you get for this setup, crane 14s or BC stage 3s?
