Default lifted valve

is there an easy way to check if a valve is lifted and staying up? i have 0 compression on cylinder number 1 and im curious maybe a valve is just staying up. obviously take the valve cover off and look but i did that and nothing looks adnormal any info would be great thanks guys

What happen to the car? If a valve is seated you should have compression unless something else is damaged.
