i have a head in my posession.....it came from a vendor on here.....when it was sold to the guy who originally bought it it was told to be +2mm valves......full port work and everything.......
well i part out the guys car and take it back to stock for him.......he gave me this fully built head for everything i did for him....
i get the head off the block......and i start looking at the port work......intake side is barely touched just smoothed out....the exhaust side looks pretty decent......seen better but its decent.....then i happen to notice on the valves.......they look stock size.......i get the mic gauge out and low and behold they actually measured .001" smaller than the stock valves......well this vendor does not believe me......this company said they have never done a head with +2 valves.....but this head should have +1 valves.....and they are not any where near +1......im still waiting on a return pm from this vendor.....
well then i take a better look at the head.....all the cam journals are grooved from a bad clean job after all the port work.....and the cams are also grooved....
now to put the doozy on everything....after i dis-assymbled the head to take the bc springs and retainers out of it.....only 2 valves will make it past the guides......i could probably beat them out with a hammer but they will completely tear the guides up......and possibly tear the seals and valves them selves up........i always thought this is a bad thing......
what do you guys think of this whole situation?

sorry guys but the car is for sale....all out first gen is in the works
dont be the middle man in the situation. youll end up gettin stiffed somehow or someway. let him talk to the vendor, get the situation taken care of. once he gets the head he shouldve had, take the new head.
take plenty of pictures of its condition right now.
shoot me a pm of what vendor this is! so that i dont go to them this summer... i have an idea of who it is tho.
oh i sent this vendor a pm first because i was taking pictures of it all......they answered my first pm.......now they wont answer.......and i know you know who it is

keep an eye out on ur hx40's seals bro.
my boy drok toasted his with the quickness on his (less than 100mi.). he has the hx40/35.
i guess the seals are only good to 11-1200 since i guess thats as high as diesel vehicles' egts go to, oppsed to the 15-1700 of gas vehicles.
the seals went bad on srt4monster's turbo before he sold it to d-rok. he got it rebuilt, then it went out on d-rok.
yeah i know......but actually diesels have pretty high egt's also.....mine actually dont have stock seals in it........there upgraded seals.....and the company i had do it is giving me a 12 month warrenty on it from when i install it.......they knew it was not going on the car now.....
dude, shoot me a pm of which company you got your seals from!
D-rok has been rollin for the past month w/ a blown turbo kus he doesnt want to swap stock seals just to have them blow again. so he's been lookin for upgraded seals.

small trick to get the valves out, a burr developed on the stem. so all you gotta do is file it down. pull the valve out a lil bit and lay a file on the end of the stem, then turn the valve in one direction the file in the opposite direction until the valve just comes out. easy as pie
the company you are talking about is the same one a friend of mine wanted to order a return line from. He didn't have a paypal so we used mine. Well that was the first of March. It's now almost the end of may and we still have no return line. He says he has sent two of them so far and neither have made it. But he wont give us a tracking number either. We talked to Jon from AGP and he tells us that he hasn't talked to him in weeks. So Jon tries to call him and he won't answer or call him back either. He won't answer when we call either. Only answer a text? WTF kind of buisness is this?
Thats just the tip of the iceburg. I have a set of cams here at my house that came from him too. They were sold as BC Stage 2's. When laying next to the stage 3's I have to be compared. They are nothing alike. The stage 3's I have I know are stage 3's the parts numbers match the website. The Stage 2's he sold to a friend, have no parts numbers like the Stage 3's. No IN or EX, no scribings of any sort? When I ask him about it he says that they are either the real BC or regrinds? I would hope that when someone pays that kind of money for something they are getting the real thing. But it sure doesn't look that way. Looks like this shit is becoming a habit
