Default Head Studs

I am putting a new ported head on and I am gathering the various things needed:

1) I was going to use the ARP studs from Modern. These indicate that they have larger washers and bolts than the original ARP kits. I am running stage 3 and shooting for around 400HP (25-26 PSI??), so I don't think I need the godzilla PTP / DCR studs. Maybe I should even stick to bolts. Comments?

2) Probably a stupid question: If I go studs, can you still put the head on the engine a) with the block in the car (I gotta think you have plenty of room) and b) with the exhaust manifold still on?

3) I am also thinking I would just go with the stock head gasket with the Chrysler head spray. Again, shooting for around 400hp. This thing is basically street driven weekends with a few trips to the stip each year.

Get the studs, its good for when you plan on running more. Bolts are good for around 450 WHP, ARP studs are good for around 500 WHP, both our studs and DCR's are good for 700 +. Its an insurance thing, get them so you don't have to worry about them.

Yes you can if you have a log manifold, you have to rock the motor forward a good deal and pull the top mount out and loosen the other mounts. It can be done, but its a pain.

Get the 5 layer headgasket, its only $25 more then the stocker and its good for dropping the CR a few tenths of a point. Again the 5 layer is an insurance item, if you have it you will not have to worry about it. We have both in stock and ready to ship, thanks and I hope this helps.

Get the ARP head studs with the DCR nuts and washers.
