i was wary of the arp studs... i was told they were questionable at the 650-700 hp level. is this not the case?

These are custom ARP units. These are the larger socket nuts with the 15/16" washers that are .050 thicker. This is simialar to the other head studs that are near twice the price but not exact duplicates.

The ARP units that you get in the package from ARP are not very good, they use smaller nuts and thiner washers which allow for the head to lift.

When i purchased my ARP's the small nut/washer problem was corrected.

I'd just get a set of them.
