AMS gt35r turbo setup
built motor @ 8.8:1 compression
crane 16 cams
Fidenza cam gears
crane springs/titanium retainers
AMS dump exhaust (the mopar tips are still on the back as they left it on to get it home but is not hooked up)
well kinda... it's actually stalled out twice on me lol, did it at the waldorf meet backing into the parking spot (not dropping the clutch, just never caught the idle lol)
Well My 2.4 is not turbo yet, but whats in the head is...
Cran 16 intake
Cran 18 exhaust
PT valves
Cran valve springs
30lbs injectors
stock cam shafts
Black Dog Header
Will this set up be ok for a turbo set up that I hope to put on by next year? minis the Header. I plan on having SRT internals soon too!

better tune it out good.... jeffb#2 on neons.org has crane 22's in his built 2.4 and is running 12.6 @ 107 last time I checked.. so its possible... just tune it out extremely good!
sounds nasty though!

Ed 3inch TBE with 02, Highflow cat no res
Stock Turbo.
Dont know yet... Havent had the chance to run it on the dyno. Ill post when i do though.
well give us a before and after the cam install and tunning? is it ALOT more noticable top end pull... or just an average? or what? I am thinkin of doing these while I install a few other things to the car.. that way it comes out stronger.. hopin for 11's on 15psi.. all tuned out thanks to PTP!

With the cams i had, which came out of a pt cruiser preped for export(thank you gwinnett tech) i notice a heavier pull in mid range... but fell flat on its face in the higher rpms. I put the stock intake cam back in and felt a much better pull.
The specs on the pt cars are.
Intake: PT Cruiser 2.0
Lift:340
Duration 212 degrees.
Exhaust: PT Cruiser
Lift 314
Duration 220.8
The first gen neons specs are.
Intake: 2.0 First gen
Lift: 344
Duration 218.7
Exhaust:
Lift: 314
Duration: 220.7
Stock: (Rough numbers, have to pull them up again)
Intake: Stock Srt
Lift:314
Duration 218.5
Exhaust:Stock SRT
Lift: 256
Duration: 220.5
Hense with the Pt intake cam, yes i had more lift. But less duration with took away from top end but increased mid range torque/hp
Put the stock intake cam back in with Pt exhaust cam, not as agressive mid range. Harder top end.
These are from my experiments. And are based on feel of the car. I dont have any actual numbers unfortunately. Im looking for a set of 2.0l First gen cams, however, and when i get them I will give yall my impresions, and maybe some dyno Numbers.
The biggest thing im wondering is how it affects the power band. Not the power increase.
oooo ok.. so you dont have the first gen neon 2.0 cams in there? You have the pt 2.0 cams in there I got ya now! Well I will be going to the junkyard here soon to pull me some out of a local yard (granted I can find a 2.0 dohc motor) and putting both of them in mine, so I will let you know the feel of them ha
Unforunately I cant give dyno numbers cause I am changing other stuff also and actually tuning the car out!
