Default Best Cams For Me???

What size cams would be the best for me to get? I have a dbb 60-1 turbo with all supporting mods and stock bottem end. I don't want something that I would have to build up everything else in the head just some that would work with the stock head. I'm trying to get a little better spool-up time and a little more power throughout the rpm range. What do you guys think would be the one's to go with that would work great with what I have and notice a power gain?

BC stage 3's but you'll need springs and retainers....... could go with the BC stage 2 cams which should help put SOME in the low and mid range, dont need springs and retainers with the stage 2's. Dont forget to get cam gears too......pointless to get cams without cam gears to adjust them........its like getting a turbo kit and leaving it on spring boost!!!!!

you will but you wont see the full potential. Weather you're paying for the labor to get it done or you are doing it yourself...save your self a headache (or a few hundred bucks) in the long run and get the cam gears now so you arent paying for the labor twice! Get the gears and release the demon within lol

I really don't have the money to get the cam gears right now. I will not be paying for labor on the cams either cause I will do it myself so it really want be a waste of money for labor. Will the car still run good if I just put the stage 2 cams in and just how much of a power gain are we talking by just putting them in without the tuning from the cam gears?

What's your budget for cam gears? I have a set of red 2nd gen Fidanza cam gears I'd let go for fairly cheap. They're not in the best shape but have no cracks and worked perfectly fine for me. Just throwin' that out there.

Well if you'd just have enough for the cams then go that route. I was just throwing that out there, but as others say, I'd definitely wait until you could afford cam gears before putting them in. There was a thread relatively recently of someone installing BC2's with his cam gears at 0/0 and he claimed to be "disappointed." If you're doing your own labor that's no big deal but honestly you're not going to notice a whole hell of a lot without them tuned. Take it from a guy who's dicked around with numerous different cam types.

What do you want for the cam gears just in case I do have enough? Just not sure yet how much I will have left over.

wait to get the cam gears man. i have the bc stage 2's with fidanza cam gears and love them. 0/0 is a crappy place to have them cams set at. it will lope a lot at idle and that isnt good on turbo cars.
