Default bc stage 2 questions

I have the b&g ecu reflash which takes the redline to 7k and I was wondering if it would be safe to use the factory springs & retainers with bc stage 2 cams or will I need aftermarket springs & retainers? I have sent a few vendors pm's about this but get no response so if someone could help me out i would appreciate it. thanks

I wouldn't take my word as the be all end all... But a friend of mine is running these with his 3076 and AGP SCT flash. He's turning it 7200 with no problems.

that seems really high (7200) for the stock springs and retainers... but im no expert on the point at which they break.

From what I have been told, there is enough installed height there to keep them from coil binding with the stage 2 cams, what I am not sure of is if there is enough spring pressure to close the valves at 7200rpm, but he has had his to the track 3 times, and about 4k street miles and hasnt had any problems yet but I read on BC website that stock spring are ok

stock springs are ok but upgrades are highly recommended. I would get the springs/retainers just to be safe

why?

on a mild cam such as that, springs arent needed?

retainers are useless for 98% of owners upgrading cams imo.
