I tried asking CNC, they told me good luck. I can't see spending over a 1000$ on a ported stock casing. I ordered everything to build a head, from S&P. You can ask powertowin I spent 2 days after work porting the head. I simplying removed the casting, and the contured the valve seat guides into the upper bowl. Thats were most of the material is removed, the exhaust was alittle tougher because it's so small. I did a excellent job. You can ask a select few on here that have seen it 1st hand.

I don't have a still camera, so I can't show you anything other then a video. I'll bet after I show you a video, you'll want me to port your head!!!

i can get a ported head from a local for a very good price. however, i want to spend the $$ ONCE, not twice to get the power.

well IMO i think u may have exagerated a little bit up above.............. not trying to be a dick but a few post up u said everyone will want one of ur ported heads once they see them (u may have been joking i dont know) so i assumed you must of did a really good job to make a statement like that. to me it looks like u just smoothed out the some of the casting flash and shined it up some............ it takes a little more than that to be up at the top with some of the other head porters on here. now u should get a stock head flowed and then urs to see how it does.

I will applaud any do-it-yourselfer attempt on things but I agree it should have been stated something like 'I'm impressed with my own outcome' not 'this is the best head evar' type response.

Fluff n' buff will only get you so far, from there you need apropriate shaping and a bit of r&d to backup any performance from headwork.

Please Highlight where I said that?

I was talking to GroundHogDay and you doesn't = Everyone!!

I simply said I ported & polished my own head, Looks Sweetness, I did a excellent job is the words I used.

Now all of a suddent, everyone who ports a head shows there best stuff. 1400-1900$ Heads, I showed you my 800$ total brand new fully assembled head.

Is mine better\best, fuk no
but is it perfect for me, yes
spend my money on a head???? 20-40 more hp then mine
or spend it on my 4 nozzle, 100\150\200\250 are the jets that can with the kit. You feel me.

those are your words

I ported & polished my own head, I don't think I did myself any wrong by doing it. I never said it was the best, I did tell the truth about CNC. I told them what I wanted, they told me goodluck. All the best.

for my 4 nozzle nitrous, stg3, 6500rpm limited car this is perfect for my application. What I lack in my ports & cams, I'll make up for with my nitrous bottle and progresser.

look at what you stated in bold.

Yes, you did come off as stating that your work was 'excellent' and all AMM and I were trying to say was that if you are happy with the results then great. What I am trying to say is that I can see from the video that it is no where near the level of quality of several vendors on here (myself included) so we are just correcting your perspective.

And if CNC did say good luck, it's with good reason. If you don't have the experience in porting heads, chances are they are not balanced between all the ports, their individual shapes will most likely also be different and I'm sure the flow charts would show this as well.

Not trying to be mean, just trying to clarify where the pros are coming from.

1. Kinda weird how a post about DCR turns into "look at me"
2. You came to me to ask me about machining a used head during the GB we had. We were only selling new assembled head. The good luck was referring to using a tiny little cam with a Stroker motor and you wanted to use Stock Springs and Retainers and the ability to retune with the new setup.

I still wish u Good Luck. I honestly hope your build comes out exactly how u want it to. I never meant anything bad by it.
So please keep me out of this.

Again: Good luck with that

We may be interested in purchasing your head core back from you at the end. But we are only buying head cores for about *****

If you were to send us a head and have us do the Full Package it would cost *****
That would include the Valve Springs, Tit. Retainers, Valves, Valve Seals, Assembly, & All the Port Work and Shipping.

Are you going EMS with that stroker motor?
I am just a little concerned about the ability to retune with the new setup.

Performance CNC

I'm boring the block out **** and according to the piston box, it's 2.5L's. I plan to run the **** , maybe a big wheel later on, but I have nitrous. I was going to change the cams on the head install, but I was going to be limited to 6500rpms. So I don't need titanium retainers, or the big springs. Those big springs eat timing belts, tensioners, and valve seats. I don't want those super high seat numbers on the valves. My cam profiles would be no higher then .350 on intake, .280-.290 on ext. Any higher the benefits of the cam lift will not be experienced until after 6500rpm. Your heads look beautiful, but it's not what I'm looking for. I want the same porting, valves, but I want stock retainers & springs on the head. I guess in the future, I'll build a head, we'll see. I wish I had $**** for what your offering, - the springs.

Thanks Dennis

PS, I just sent out the block, pistons, and rods today!!! 7-10days til launch. If your looking for a stg3, nitrous, 2.5L test bed, LMK!!!

Good luck with that
