Default is the 2.4 n/a head the same as an srt4 head?

is the 2.4 n/a head the same as an srt4 head? I have a spare 2.4 n/a head that was given to me. Just want to know if there are difference between the 2 heads. I was thinking about sending the spare out to be built if they are.

I believe the cooling jackets but I am not 100% sure, there was a thread about that a while ago explaining the diferences, a few of the big builders chimed in on it

I always wanted to know also. My wife has a 2000 chrysler cirrus with the 2.4 looks the same but I guess the number on the side will tell the story. I wish it did wrk cheaper at junk yards then srt heads are.

If it's after 2003 then the valves are really the only difference that I know of. The older ones didn't match up exactly & needed some changes to run them. The 2.4 head that you turn around I believe is a Mitsu head that was used on Sebrings. Darrell Cox knows alot more than I do about them. You should shoot him a PM.
