Default Micheline Pilot Sport SRT-6's back East, weather performance?

I'm in San Jose, CA and it's been raining a lot.... The stock Michelin Pilot Sports don't have much in the way of siping and water grooves, hence they are more of a fair weather tire. Any of you folks back east or midwest using these on daily-drivers during your bad weather season? I noticed a fair amount of slippage on wet roadways out here. But, this is a rarity (to have this much rain in a constant pattern) out here. What sort of rain/sleet/bad-weather performance do you see on those things if you have them on your SRT-6? I have learned to just go easy when the rain is coming down. If you keep the RPMs low and don't get too aggressive on turns, they seem to do quite well, especially if you leave the traction control on... which of course one should do in bad weather with those tires. The killer suspension on the SRT-6 helps a lot too.....

I would never try the same antics with the same tires on my SRT-4..... Although I have to admit my SRT-4 with Falken FK451's does a great job in the rain... no traction control on that thing and you can turn hard and slosh through the puddles with little sideways motion or slippage.

Default low weight,high horsepower

Even on dry roads with trac control off... hang on. On wet surfaces I would never turn trac control off and with it on if you gas it it will activate often. Does'nt matter what tires you have.

i have the conti all seasons on mine. they ride pretty good in rain. not sure how your tires are. besides when it rains i usually take the traction control off and have some fun with the car. its fun to spin tires at lights and do donuts late at night but thats just me. i like to enjoy the car.

Ya, that's the benefit of trac control, tire type, and rain.... You can have fun (in open areas). Congested areas or high traffic.... uhhhh, don't think so. Thx for the replies.
