Yep, we got a box with luggage. Haven't even look inside. I thought it was just one piece of luggage but maybe there are 3 embedded pieces inside each other. Will have to check.... A nice touch..... Especially for a car they don't produce anymore. No other maker did that when we bought a car from them...

No need to wait for Christmas open em up.
The wheelie bag even has an ergo handle that spins and locks, the SRT and Crossfire logos are on all of them. The other two bags are a smaller cloth sided duffel and tote. The duffel will make a good track bag, easily holding a helmet, tire chalk, gauge etc. or even a small floor jack. Yeah nice touch, now if the MB fan module would come off back order for the TSB work, it would be a wrap.

The CF is faster 0-60 by a few tenths, but the LX is faster in the 1/4 by a few, and it has a higher top end. The weight does make the Mag feel very different to drive but I agree "tight" is a very good description.
The CF shifts a lot better than the Mag, but the quirk I noticed using both slapshifts, is that the Mag drops to 1st when you stop and the CF stays in 3rd or whatever gear you had reached when you let off.
The other thing is the braking feel, the Mag feels like it has a lot more brakes than the CF does. Likely related to the weight difference, but does anyone have the stopping specs handy to see if that is true>>.
Also heard our fan module arrived from Germany, so time to get the TSB work done, and maybe an oil change. It only has about 1K miles but the first 300 were all test drives over an 8 month period.
Well, I finally opened the box that surprisingly came as a free gift from Chrysler. Was expecting some cheap Chinese knock-off gift nylon-bag luggage.... Man was I wrong... These things are pretty damn nice. Good quality thick bonded nylon webbing, tightly wound, the luggage has the striations emulating the SRT6 hood, even the fricken zippers are made to look like the car (Turn the zippers sideways and look at them. They have the same rake and boattail look of the Crossfire). The emblems are metal and they Crossfire or Chrysler stampings are on the straps, etc. The shoulders straps on the tote-bags are very soft and contoured, the big-bag's handle pops up and curves at the right angle, and the handle rotates for pulling with fingers or fists. It appears that they seriously engineered this luggage. Hope that's a sign that they paid attention to details when engineering the car as well. The thing that I've never seen in ANY luggage before aside from the "fluff" factor of making everything look like the Crossfire is the on bag for going to the track/gym. They have cleverly put in a needed option to that bag.... The wet/damp clothes tunnel that is accessible from the outside right hand zipper pocket. It keeps the wet stuff away from the dry stuff without having to wrap things in a towel and still get your dry stuff damp.... Now that's German engineering.... The other little tidbit that they thought of (which could be on other bags as well since I haven't bought luggage in 15 years) was the "grab" handles on the sides. Those were specifically put there to get the darn bag out of the overhead compartments on airlines. If you shove your stuff in first or it shifts in-flight, shorter people have troubles grabbing their bags to pull them quickly out of the overhead bin. Those handles that stick out allow you to quickly grab-it-and-go which helps keept the exit line moving on the plane..... Good show.
I may actually take all those bags on our next trip... They are showey, but very very functional as well.... Same as the car. Supercharged luggage... Who would have thought?
Nice! I hope Chrysler is still doing this AND it fits in the trunk of the ragtop. I will let you guys know if I get a set of bags.

I just looked in the trunk of a ragtop @ the dyno today, you aren't likely to get either of the 2 bigger bags in there. But the smallest piece/softside briefcase would go. That would leave you traveling with 1 pair of skivvies.;>(

It made 265/256 on the dyno, which looks like about 20% loss<> very common. The blower does have AMG cast into it under the plastic cover
and there is a clutch on the blower drive too.

Wow..a 20% loss? Where does it go between the engine and the rear tires? All that heat 330Hp x 20% = 60HP, 60HP x 746 = 44,760 watts has to dissipate somewhere right?
I was wondering if K&N air filters make any difference horsepower for the SRT? Do they invalidate the factory warranty? Are those air filters reusable iif I blow air through them backwards with an air compressor hose? I saw the instructions on replacing the filters..It's quite the process! Two filters, is that correct? How long does an air filter changeout take?

I was wondering about the synthetic oil. Is 8 quarts correct? Is Mobile One the best or is there a better grade of synthetic? Do the oil changeout places (like Jiffy Lube) usually have the filter required for the SRT?

I guess Buck70 might answer the top question... Different dynos post different results... but ya, 60HP seems extreme. "Mustang" dynos are purportedly the most accurate... Dunno... I don't have a shop with one.
TrueFlow filters tend to outperform K&N for the same cost. Ya, we get the joy of 2 filters and most likely a "not so easy" install... haven't really looked yet. SRT-4 pops right out. Shouldn't have to worry about air filter change til 30K miles or so.. see the manual, unless you want improved airflow. Manual shows 8.5 quarts of 0-40W Mobil 1 needed. So, we are talking about $45 with Mobil 1 on sale at $5/quart. That is the most oil I've ever seen an engine less than 10 cylinders take.... Blower must require a ton of it to cause the 3.2L six to require that much. I use a K&N racing filter on my SRT-4 since it has a dandy "backflow" protection to keep the oil from draining all the way back down and aiding in cold starts... Supposedly has better flow at high temps too... Or at least if you believe their hype.... They are a bit bigger than your standard Mobil1 or Fram filter, and have the wrench-nut cap on it in case you can't get around the filter body to spin it off.
