Thanks for the information peeps. The reason why I ask is this next Feb I'll have the SRT-4 paid for and I am looking for the SRT-6 ( collecting the whole set ) But the G/F want's me to trade in the SRT-4 for the 6. I told her "No Way In Hell". But now I am stuck.. convertable or hard top ?
Plan B: Get a reg roadster with the 6 speed and install a STS turbo on it.
honestly the coupe does have some blind spot problems, the convertible isn't going to be better, but isn't going to be much worse, and you have the benefit of a convertible. If I were going to seriously track it I would go coupe because it is going to have a stiffer body structure.
and if they stuck a 6 speed manual in one I'd have an srt6 instead of an srt-4.
id probably be in the same boat.
Wife and I have an SRT4 and SRT6... Both good cars, although my daily driver is the SRT-4 with lots of suspension mods. I rather like the noisy, torquey little 4 door more... It's the more raucus of the two... and cheaper to feed, mod, and fix......They aren't making any more SRT-4's OR SRT-6's though. The 2007 Xfire model will only be the base Crossfire. There's a link on Crossfireforum.org about it... Check it out over there.
How many of our country's problems could be solved – and solved quickly – if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?
actually, it's not. dumbasses keep building right on the beach then we're gonna have problems, but i'm up high on a ridge in the sound, 4 miles back on the only curvy road in the area.
DCX has continued to produce the Crossfire for Europe, Australia, etc. for 2006, just not for the US market. The dealers had too many unsold 2005's this year so they held up for a year in the US. They are set to resume for 2007 model year, but, as mentioned above, not the SRT6 version. Which makes me very happy that I bought my 2005 SRT6 6 weeks ago. All the people who bad mouth this car just haven't driven one, or made up their minds before driving one. This car is awesome. I also was looking for a low mile 01 or 02 BMW M Coupe, but they were out of my price range. I got such a good deal on the SRT6 that the M Coupe is totally forgotten. I live in Florida, found this SRT6 deal in Detroit (of all places). So I flew to Detroit and drove it back to Florida. I still can't wipe the grin off my face. The car was flawless for the 1,440 mile drive back to Florida and I am in love with it. If you can afford one, buy it! You won't be disappointed.
