Ok I'm under the impression that I need to back off some timing when I spray in the what I need for n2o thread just says a msd box... any one have a part
# or know which box it is that I need. I'm at my buddys shop an says the one I might need is a msd adjustable timing part # 121-8680 but he's not understanding how with a tach adapter that the signal changes when going back to the coil an how timing is sent back to the coil. Doesn't make sense to me eather any help is appreciated.

at this point the easiest way to retard timing is with the diablo tuner. also read the posts in my sig for a better explination of how the timing works on the srt. i have ran all the way up to a 150shot without retarding timing and i was also clamping with a safc. but c16 or q16 race gas is a must. if you are trying to spray on pump get that out of your head right now and just man up and buy race gas when you want to spray. i have logged a ton of runs and about the best you can do without race gas even with wi is a 35shot.
yeah custom tune for nitrous im sure rage or turbo666 will hook you up with a good tune also you can pull timing off one of the base tunes you get with the tuner.
well kinda what im wanting to do now is run a meth kit and only boost about 20 and fall to 15 on redline with a nitrous kit. The catch is that i will only spray when i have a tank of race gas. i think i would need 2 diff tunes right? one for pump gas and meth, and one for race gas, meth, and nitrous. right?
That MSD box he's talking about is the "Retard-A-Boost" that retards timing in a nifty curve based on what the dial is set to. The only catch is that it is a plug in to a MSD ignition box, like a MSD-DIS2 or something to that nature.
