Default St. 0 and Nitrous Boost Question

Anyways, as title states...want to try and run more boost on the bottle and not hit overboost/fuel cut. in 4th when i spray.

I have no mopar ecu upgrade, factory 05. I have the boost set to 16psi off nitrous. When it sprays, the boost stays pretty solid @ 20psi slightly tapering off maybe 1psi at redline..When i turn the boost up any past the 16psi mark it hits overboost/fuel cut in 4th when the boost goes over 20psi.

this week ive been doing some off nitrous pulls while i still had a half tank of 118 in the car...and it feels awfully stronger all around at 20psi than 16..obviously.

Im thinking a map clamp is the only way? then i get to thinking that fooling the ecu into thinking im running less boost would fuck with the timing, hence not doing anything good when i spray?


I dont want to run any mopar staged setups, and will eventually be going diablo/sct in the spring...but wanted to see what i could play with in the meantime.

If you set the map clamp just before you hit fuel cut say 18 -19 psi you won't be adding that much timing.If your afr's are good then that would be all you could mess with.A buddie of mine does that on his stage 1 car to hide just a little boost to keep the computer happy.
