I just installed my stage3 turbo and want to juice it. How big of a shot can i run THAT is kinda SAFE???? I have all the supporting mods including fuel, upgraded clutch, and upgraded tranny. On the stocker with NO JUICE i made 301hp and 360tq and i, just this weekend, installed the stage3 turbo with an external wga. Turbo and exhaust mani are ported but heads are not. I also had the s3 turbo, exhaust mani, o2 housing, and dump tube all ceramic coated.
I have the complete NOS wet kit sitting in my garage with all jets from a 35shot to a 100shot, remote bottle opener, bottle warmer, purge kit and both FJO and Dynotune TPS nitrous controllers. Haven't decided which one to use yet. Reason i am asking all you Nitrous junkies is I am trying to get in the 11's this year and need all the healp i can get.

No one will be able to give you the be all end all answer. Start small with the 35 monitor knock then go from there. Also what kind of boost are you going to run? If you want big boost with the gas then you will need meth, and race gas for big numbers.

sounds like you have a complete kit. Install your new turbo set up, then get that all sorted out. From there you can begin to work the nitrous into the mix.
You should get a scan gauge when you tune your nitrous.
04inred: I am thinking i want to spray on maybe 22psi and i do have a meth kit already installed on my srt. Its a DCR meth kit with a 150psi snow performance pump and a 600cc nozzle sprayer.
Rhunter: I have the stage3 installed and all bugs worked out and tuned on 22psi. Also i have had an AEM uego wideband and a aeroforce scan guage installed for about a yr now.
How much hp you think i can hit on the spray and the ported stage3 with external wga close to 500???? Think 11's are possible????

You should do what i did, and start with a 35 and work your way up. You tune nitrous completely seprately from what you should start with, which is a properly tuned/running setup off the get go.
11's should be a given, granted you can get traction. Hell i did it, look in my sig.
Run 116 or better gas, watch your knock/o2's and enjoy
if you cant do 11's then your a failure with a external gated s3 and spray. with the mods in my sig and a 100shot i went 12.09@126 and thats stock turbo and on 205 street tires only spraying 3rd and 4th.

Hard to say what HP you would make. Nitrous brings some variables to the table, bottle pressure being very important. With your mods and Nitrous, you will be in the 11's. You only need two more things
- 24" slicks
- Driver mod
Go get em!!! Post a vid when you get that 11 sec pass!!!
if he has co's i would go with 26" slicks but 24.5's will work also. if the op is on stock block get ready for eather a build or buying a new short block. at that power level be prepared to spend some money. with s3 and even a 50shot should be well over 400whp just make sure the tune is money any knock at that level is going to brake the ring lands. what are you using to tune with?
Yo Rhunter i have only one of the 2 mods.. driving skillz not too bad but I do have some 24.5 MT slicks that are pretty dam new. Only got like 6 or 8 passes on them
Yo D money i am tuning with an safc2 and i am on the stock block and heads so I got a block with .20 over bore JE pistons and eagle h-beam rods just in case.. Hopefully i don't need it yet.

I have to get the NOS installed then i will definately make a few passes. Thing i am most worried about is the tuning cause i don't know how to tune for nitrous cause i never had it before therefore never needed to tune for it. Any suggestions???

- Start low in your jetting
- Since you have a bigger turbo, monitor KR and A/F
- If the nitrous makes you rich and you still have very low/no KR, go down one size on your fuel pill and do another pull while monitoring.
- If you are still running rich try jetting up.

and remember man, your already running a pretty nice setup that should run 11's within itself, if you can get a setup on spray and get it to run well with 0 knock, your golden. Dont get greedy, you would be amazed what a little 35 will do with traction
