You need to consider the amount of boost you are running as well. Yes the rule of thumb (from my honda days) are for every 50 shot of nitrous, retard timing 2 degrees. If you are running relatively stock boost, you should not have to retard your timing for a 50 shot. I run approximately a 75 shot with my boost set to spike 18 settling to @15 at redline and so far so good *crosses fingers*.

when I spray my boost spikes to 20. I have my MBC set to spike at 18. The nitrous will gain you a pound or so in boost.
I had a wide band (never got around to installing it) but when my car got broken into they stole that along with the other new parts I had in my trunk.
I had 41K on mine, before my third gear syncro took a poop. I contribute that to the 75shot + HOM tests. 3rd & 4th gear rubber even with slicks on the highway is why. I have around 43K on the car now, and I'm taking off the head, because it's leaking oil around the alternator. Should be up by the end of the week. The car is 100% functional, I drive it everyday even through Michigan snow. But I want the car to be 100% once the weather breaks, because I know sooner or later the gasket will say bye bye.
