Default Nozzle Placement?

Now that i have read through the stickies and posts, i gather you are supposed to point the nozzle at the 90 degree elbow...so, i am supposed to point it at the side of the pipe??

Please help me understand where to mount and point it.

Thanks,

Just dont understand if I am supposed to point it so that the nozzle open port makes a straight line to the TB, or if I am supposed to make it catch the edge of the 90 degree elbow (ie pointing it at the side). Anyone?

if you want to mount a nozzle that sprays directly into your intake with 1100psi be my guest. But I have learned through my experience that a single nozzle gets best distribution and atomization if the nozzle charge tumbles before entering the intake tract. The close placement pre 90, will result in alot of the nitrous going to the 1 & 2 cylinders, and hardly any to the 3 & 4. You don't have to listen to me, I have no nitrous experience.

I agree 100%, but you still have not told me how to mount it so that it DOES tumble???

the best placement in my eyes, is post or even with the air intake temperature sensor. You want the charge to hit the 90 degree elbow first, then get pushed into the intake tract. That's so you get a lot more nitrous to the #3 & #4 cylinders. It will still hit nicely, but you get the best distribution to all cylinders.

I aimed mine at the TB plate, from about 5" down in my charge pipe. If you look at the bigger picture, aiming at the coupler isn't the best spot. If you aim it at the plate, it will do the same thing. You have to picture how it all works. It may favor one of the runners no matter what, but the tumbling won't do too much. If it hits the plate, its at least going to flatten out and go in more uniform into the manifold.

Thats at least how I picture it. We spray 300 shots into LS1 plastic intake manifolds directly in through the TB, and it still works, so I am pretty sure it will be fine almost no matter how you aim it in our setups. Not to mention, most of us are not spraying that much anyways.

Just aim it towards the TB, or the coupler, and you will be fine. Aim it sideways or into your intercooler, and you will have a boom

i can get some pics to you if you can get picture text maby. ddog is the one who told me to place my nozzel down to hit the 90. when i had the nozzel shooting straight in it hit really hard but i noticed not a good noise comin from the engine right when it hit then it smoothed out and pulled out hard as fuk. then i placed the nozzel where ddog suggested and when i sprayed it it still hit hard as fuk but the inital hit was way smoother didnt make that hard vibration bang from the engine. good thing i didnt spray that much with the first nozzel placement. but if i can get sum pics with my phone ill send them too you just send me ur phone# through pm and ill send them to you.

Photobucket.com is your friend.

There is a "code" in there that you can send as a text, and it will send it to your photobucket.

Id like a picture also.
