This is courtesy of Unclemunz for those with the msd window switch and the zex kit using a tps switch.

If you Have a Zex Kit and a window switch READ THIS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many of you may already know this, but I didn't so I thought I'd share.

The window switch that I was upgrading to (Digital MSD, very commonly used) is set up to send a ground within the target RPM range. Using standard solenoids, it is of no consequence whether the 12v or ground is switched. However, when the Zex nitrous controller loses ground and retains power, it will draw a weak ground through the TPS connection while the car is at idle causing a rough, fluctuating idle.

You must use a relay to supply 12volts instead of ground from the MSD box.

sorry for the cheesy diagram. Someone with access to a paint program can probably do better.

TPS wire switch from another post. Also according to Unclemunz you can check the voltage on the wire with the car in the run position, but not running. This is how to wire the tps input switch

Ok here you go. There are two wires at the tps switch. You need to remove the tape to expose the wires. One wire has a constant 5 volts it should be white and another color. The other wire is the wire you need to tap into. It should be orange and brown. I empasize should be here. Start working on it with the battery disconnected. Now once the wires are exposed reattach the bettery and with the key to the on position but without the car on check and make sure that the white wire has 5 volts. If it does start the car and without shocking yourself check the other wire (orange and brown) to make sure it is at .6 volts. For just a moment have someone floor the car and make sure it goes to 4.5 volts. If it does all is well and attach your tps switch to this (orange and brown) wire. Retape and your set. These wires are fragile and can break so make sure you check the volts on it. You dont want it reading 4.5 volts or anywhere near that at idle. It should be at .6 volts or at least very close to it.

Hope this helps

Any questions just ask.
