Default New Nitrous Set-Up w/ Times

Anyways went to atco Sunday and got there late...it sucked since I only got 1 run.

First time at the track since installing and running my 35 shot before I get on the dyno with the 75. Wanted a baseline to judge off of when i get back on the bigger jet...to say the least I am happy, just wish I could have had a better 60'.

VIDEO: Shitty cam, but better than nothing lol

SLIP:

Power Mods:
WGA @ 16 off/20 on
3" Exhaust
Aquamist w/ VP M1 Meth On @ 8 psi.
WOT box & 2-Step
35 shot
on 225 BFG DR's

I was messing with the N2MB 2-step which is why the 60 is horrible, it was the second time I used it since I installed night before...but the WOT shifting with the nitrous is awesome!

All in all i couldn't be happier with it the way it is now, and definitely didn't think i was going to trap 115. I expected less, but know i could have got more out of it if i had a few more pulls.

How do I stack up guys? lol

Yep. Meth comes on @ 8psi via hobbs switch.

Nitrous is controlled by itself seperately. They complement eachother nicely

The debate is not if you can run the two together, it's if it improves performance.

My theory is, if you already have meth, then go ahead the money is already spent. If you don't have meth, you can spend the 200.00 to make your nitrous set up better.

Exactly. Your running nitrous. Why are you going to cut corners with something proven to cause problems when corners are cut.

Its like trying to spray and make big power on pump. Can it be done? sure. But why? I have no dyno numbers or before/afters, but I have peace of mind once I hit that arming switch

my .02

so does running the meth actually cool temps? well lets say spraying a 50/50 mix. half water half meth.... it would be nice to have some safety when running a 75 shot or 100.

...given the mods f you had trapped 120 it would have been impressive but yeah report back with 75+meth results.

Have people actually trapped that high with the 35 shot and around my mods? That would really be nice if I could get around that area before i even got the 75 and tune on.

Im in no rush to throw the 75 on until i can afford SCT tuning and a better clutch. I know there is more in it, it was my first time using the WOT box and my shifting was definately retarded slow, and I had the window for the spray closing 200 rpm's sooner than it would usually be set just to play things safe for the WOT box.

Maybe it has it in it?

Shouldnt need a tune with a 75 shot, the clutch is a diffrent story. You have more tim in the car with better 60s and faster shifts.

Ya by tune I mean I'm getting the SCT and will probably dyno the 75 and the SCT tune same time. all on 118/116oct.

Also probably heading to an all audi dyno day in south jersey to see what the car puts down on the 35...who knows maybe ill get ballsy and throw the bigger jet in if all goes well between pulls

I wanted to play it safe with the window switch and WOT box just in case something...idk what it would be...happened. Set it to 5800 instead of 5900 i had it on prior. Since been changed back since i own this WOT box hard now.

Should be on the dyno with this set-up tomorrow granted i can get my car to the shop with all this fucking ridiculous snow...not so conducive to driving on DR's lol

With very close to the same setup as you, with a 65 hp shot.. my car went a 12.900@118.71 mph. The run before that was a 12.87@117.67 (missed 4th gear) on the 12.90 it was spinning through 2nd a bit. I made my runs on tiny little POS street tires.. lol

But yeah,.. these cars.. especially stock turbo cars.. LOVE nitrous!! Just keep an eye on things!

Will.

you must of been at a well prepped track. On a zex 65 I could not keep the tires in second gear!!! blew them away each and every time.

but yup, SRT and nitrous are like peanut butter & Jelly.
