So what is everyone using? I know about the MSD DIS2 but does it require a different tach driver than the SAFC2? Any other good options? DIS2 is kinda spendy! Now that I have a decent tune on the 50 trim, not sure if I'll need more than a 50 shot anyway (sort of like the way it sounds...50 trim w/a 50 shot, that's how I roll!). Do I need to retard ignition for that small a shot?

I do know that one of my buddys tried to get the SAFC+50 trim+50 shot thing working and two motors latter gave up. The SAFC hides boost so you get more timing (you know that), try a way small shot and work up till you see knock. Nitrous jets are way cheaper then a rebuild.

Not that I know of, and I havent read about anyone really using enought nitrous that they "need" to pull timing. The guys that are running S3 for example I think are comp controled so the PCM pulls the timing needed.
DIS 2 has a input for solenoid on/off when you spray it can automatically retard your timing to a set point that you choose and then return to normal timing when your not spraying. Look it on msd's website. Seems like a good thing to try if your using stock pcm.
i thought that for a 50 shot it was not needed, hell 75 shot either.
how bout a stg2 pcm????? will it do the difference??
On a stock turbo, stg 0 pcm no retard is required but I'm pushing 400 whp w/a stock pcm...staged pcms will ADD timing, just the opposite of what you want w/ N2O.
