^^^^ i had my nozzel about 6in. away and it seemed to hit really hard with a hard vibration clunk noise from the motor and then it smoothed out almost instantly. then ddog suggested i move the nozzle farther away and i did. when the nitrous hit it was 100 times better the vibration clunk was gone from the motor and it seemed to pull alot smoother then the first nozzel placement. i didnt really notice a difference in the power just alot smoother pull.

Anybody have pictures of the single nozzle placement. Appreciate it.
There is a link to pictures int e Sticky Nitrous Install made easy. If you scroll down there are several alternative placement pics.
By the way DDogSRT would you place a picture with an explanation of your placement in the Sticky for those who encounter a problem such as the one you had?

I don't have any pictures on my new computer. My old one crashed, and I didn't say shit from it. I did however dance a jig on that bitch, Big Black style YO!!! I'm over it!!!
this is my kit, and how I placed the nozzle. This location looks good, but it will overwhelm the 1# & 2# cylinders because of the pressure. You want to mount your nozzle in the straight section of pipe.
I just hate looking for pictures people host, half the time they delete the picture out of their hosting site. So then its just a red X. But thanks.
They are still there although pictures have been added since that was written. The nitrous pictures that were originaly posted for the thread are page 2 and 3. I will find you a better picture of the nozzle location and post it.
I have a JMB pipe. Just get a picture of where it should be, and I should be good.
I will do that tomorrow, but it is in the spot the I have always recomended which is pointed straight at the TB, not after the bend, Again this is the first time I have heard of a problem with it being there. All nitrous kit manufacturers recomend putting it where I have mine and hundreds of forum members have put it in the same spot without problems.

Does the spot your talking about, favor any of the cylinders. Or does it despute it pretty nice ?

This is my first nitrous experience, so.
Distribution will not be a problem with a single nozzle system until you start to run a shot larger than recomended. No matter where you place it you will have distribution problems once you start to go over a 75 shot with all wet systems regardless of the placement. The air velocity in the system is so great, as long as you run it at above 3000 rpms, that distribution is not a big issue at small shots. I have run close to a 100 shot without problems, but 75 is the max recomended. Once you go to larger shots distribution becomes a real issue, which is why everyone says to run the 75 shot.
Again I have never heard of having the problems that where stated above. If he says it happend than I believe him, but he is the only person I have heard of with this problem and I have directly or indirectly helped install several hundred systems. The only real way to prove the distribution porblems is to have a a/f meter(wideband) for each cylinder which is just not feasible.
Emaill me and I will give you my phone number if you need more info. Or you can just click on my web site listed below and get in touch with me that way.
Waiting on some money to order the wet conversion the the dry kit I bought, and a Window Switch. And I should be pretty much set to start hooking everything up.
you can run a 100+ shot if you place the nozzle in the straight portion of the intercooler piping. Having the shot hit the 90 allows the nitrous to tumble and get pushed into the # 3 & 4 cylinders. If you mount it close it blows right pass them, trust me.
I personally don't give a shit about the single nozzle kit anymore. I have a 4 nozzle piranha sitting here in front of me. Comes jetted for 100-150-200-250, what can you tell me about pushing the limits of nitrous on a skittle?
You can run any size shot you want. But exp shows around a 75 shot is all you can safely use. If you dont believe me just call the manufacturers. Blocks Cracked 0.

I was told by 1 of the power train engineers at the auto show, your the 2% of customers.
I'm pushing limits the manufacture never intended on. I plan to start with a 100, but would like to end up with a 150-200shot on mine with a progressor. I experienced technical difficulties, but should be back on track starting this week.

do you have stg3?
With a direct port you can run much more than the 75 shot. With the wet shot on a 4 cylinder 75 is the recomended max. I am not sure what you mean by the 2%. I am a big wheel stock turbo with other mods. Running nitrous John at PTPerformace is aiming on having me as the first stock turbo big wheel car in the 10's.
