www.ModernMopar.net, the Western North Carolina SRT Club, has been established and is currently welcoming all area SRT owners to join us!

Owners of SRT-4, SRT-6, SRT-8 and SRT-10 are all welcome. Other than owning a Modern Mopar, we only ask that you leave the attitudes at home. We’re a group of folks who are both young and old, but we've found a common bond in the appreciation of our SRTs. Join us if you enjoy cars and being around others who do!

www.modernmopar.net the WNC SRT club is planning on going to the Drag & Brag show in Newport, TN this weekend. The Drag & Brag event on Saturday, October 08 will be at http://www.englishmountaindragway.com - a map is available at their site. Here are the basics:

$20.00 to run your car down the 1/8th mile (includes pit pass)
$10.00 for just a pit pass (passenger, not driving down the stip or you just want to come in to watch)
another $20.00 to enter the car show
so it would be $40.00 to show and drag

Any car/truck/bike is welcome to come.

Gates open at 12:00pm

the concession stand will be open all day

Events include:
Bike horsepower competition
A burnout competition
Sound Off battle
Neons (lights) glow off
Drag competition
Car show with 35 trophies to be handed out
Bikini contest
maybe other things by Saturday they are still planning it


If you plan to dragrace:
Track opens for runs at 2:00pm and will be open until dark (about 8:30/9:00pm)
They will have a bracket race with CA$H prizes for 1st $300, r/u $100 and semis $50.
They will also have a heads up race for trophies.

The car show will have 35 trophies to hand out.
