Default Drag Radials or Slicks for Viper SRT-10 '05

My friend is willing to pay right away for a set of these (drags or slicks).

I know he has 19 inch and the hand brake issue but he is willing to pay for that solution to (remove brakes).

Anyone that can help us with this?

Thank You

I don't think you'll find any track tires in 19".

So, what is the best way to go to be able to get better traction at the track?

He is willing to do so...

Most Viper guys who use track tires buy 18" rims and use Kumhos.

For the strip get a set of 16" American Racing wheels and a set of Hoosier Quicktime pros. That what I use at the track instead of my stock 20". Best 60' times I could get were 1.9 w/o and now I get 1.6 60' times. Personally I think the Hankook tires are MUCH better than the Kuhmos as far as traction and handling. (and the tread is much cooler looking) Hope this helps.

Aren't Viper's stockers 19"??? I thought the lowest wheel you were able to fit on a Viper was 17" and it would barely fit.

Please explain. Thank You.

Yep - I'd be dying to know if someone makes a 16" rim that fits on a Viper. I'd be there.

BFG makes a drag radial in 18" which is good until you consider you'll pay a minimum of $550 per rim.

That's not a problem for my friend, he has paid a lot of $$$$ lately just to get more hps on the car and now wants to get these on the floor

Do you which is the exact brand and size of the wheels he needs and where he can buy them?

Thanks again for all the help

A Gen I/II can fit a 17" wheel on the rear. Nothing smaller.

The Gen III can fit a 19", or an 18" with the e-brake relocated. Nothing smaller without installing a smaller brake rotor and caliper system (costly and reduced braking performance).

Unless he wants to replace the brakes, rotors and all components the smallest possible is 18". Stick with 18" (though 18" requires relocating the parking brake caliper.
