There are about 4 young DC Engineers that have these little beasts, and the air intakes differ drastically from what the prototypes ran back around 2001. With the tremendous power out of the base SRT-4 ( sans Stage upgrades ) , many believe it came from the placement of the air scoops ( two were added above the bumper ). I would imagine that with many of the Engineers being borderline more race engineers than the typical auto engineer, it would be best to leave well enough alone. A good example would be the tuners years back that extolled the virtues of bigger throttle bodies for the Viper, when everyone found out later the factory ones forced more air to the mighty V10. Consequently leaving well enough alone was the best bet. Just my humble opinion here, but , heh, ya needed an answer somewhere.
