Default Threw a Rod

Would anyone know of a place in the Dallas FT area or closer to zip 75402 that could assist in a motor rebuild or a new motor for that fact?

if you threw rod through the block you can't rebuild that motor.. you will need a new shortblock and some head work.

may be rod knock, does it knock with the rpm's. if it is you'll be lucky and just need to tear it down and refresh (and some small machineing)

Yea, it knocks with RPMs. I was thinking it was a stuck valve, but I still have yet to take the VC off to check it out.

Your gonna need to take off more than the valve cover to see the damage.

Try your local forums.

Nothing big, blue plate, typhoon AI, mopar catback. Brought it to another shop after getting my fender fixed. Guy said it was a thrown rod or a bad bearing and I would spend 3g on a new motor.

Read about 600 posts of 2 different threads about the subject. Going to replace the rod, bearing, rod bolt, and see if that fixes it.
