Why would you want to put all that money in a stock turbo just to not make much power when all the money you spent could have got you a big turbo kit that gets better gas mileage, better for dd, and more power?

Big turbo would be nice, but a big turbo kit with all supporting mods runs what, $3,500 or more? As for S3, I should have jumped on the group buy, but aside from that everyone who sells their used and well worn S3's wants way too much for them. Something like this replacement wheel, larger injectors and a full turbo back exhaust would run $1,800 using some higher end components. Might even be able to sneak in a used meth kit. Being that my car is still my DD, right around 300 WHP is perfect for me, I know that's possible with a stock wheeled turbo, but that's a pretty aggressive tune. This wheel looks like it might be able to make that power a little bit easier. Like others said data log would be great to have. DROID3

True, though I have seen it with someone's 47lb stage 3...daily...on 93 pump. His is a FM longblock and a ported stage 3 manifold though, which does make a difference with backpressure, cyl pressure and piston design, etc. For the price of the Batmowheel, it is hard to justify the gains, unless you already had all of the supporting mods already and even then, a larger turbo kit can be put together for close to the same price if you do your homework and wait for deals. The exhaust restriction in the stock turbo is just hard to overcome, though the small scroll and wheels do make for super quick spool and sick torque.

If this was done on a stock ext mani, the #s would have gone down for sure. This was done with a ported elbow modded mani that was said to be one of mine. I did not see pics to confirm it tho.

I haven't seen what you have done with a stock manifold, but I doubt it would compare equally to a Bob's ported Stage 3 manifold, just because of the turbine and scroll area differences that they start with. I was saying that less backpressure with a Stage 3 manifold at equivalent boost pressures could lend to easier tuning and a better chance at 28lbs on pump gas.
The price I had seen for a new Batmowheel is the equivalent of a nice used turbo of any size, so even if someone already had money sunk into getting their stock manifold ported and upgraded, it is something to think about. ~300whp isn't a whole bunch for spending a lot of money to get there with a Batmowheel, but a very nice torque curve could prove to be worth it in some people's eyes.
