and if the turbines are all teh same, what is the difference between the 9.8 and teh 10.5 hotside?

the turbine wheels are identical...the difference is the A/R ratio of the housing scroll

S3 = A/R 10.0
Evo8 = A/R 9.8
Evo9 = A/R 10.5

ok, so it is in the turbine housing itself, not in the wheel. sweet. you made my nite. too bad i didnt know this a week ago. i would have had my compressor housing machined for the 20g.

so now you ruined it for me. you have obviously researched this, and i have not. will the 16g wheel fit into teh factory compressor housing or will i have to modify it?

ya, the 20g comp wheel can be found from either turbochargers.com or a place in austrilia (sells the turbochargers.com wheel)...is the 6 blade design, a retails for about $250-300

buscher racing (david) wil not sell seperate his 20g - 5 blade wheel...he's to busy making on $1300 per conversions

the 16g6 wheel is of course stock

LMK if your searching...I have another good Evo8 16g6 turbo

you would have to likely machine the S3...the minor diameter is larger on the 16g6 and more so the 20g wheels
...otherwise you could the Evo comp housing

.

probably could easily, or machine anyways

I personally am using the new design Evo9 housing, being a smaller housing with larger wheel tends to exhibit compressor surge / boost creep issues

I have the whole turbo cartridge complete, in excellent order, along with the comp housing...PM & LMK if that's what your asking?

Is this a reverse rotation 20G wheel? I know that they also do some modding of stock Evo turbo's. I wonder where they sourced this from? Maybe they make them custom?

I've bugged David so many times... he's just not really interested in doing anything for the SRT-4?

yes, i spoke to dave also, but he's too busy making money...it's a rip off, he's doing it to get even with turbocharger.com...david use to sell & promote the 6 blade 20g, until thier falling out...
...interestingly he helped in the 6 blade 20g design!

~

as I mentioned in PM reply to PitViper, that the Evo8 housing with stock 16g6 comp wheel, had compressor surge issues...imagine stuffing the larger 20g wheel into the even smaller S3 housing for a 15gk wheel??
I'd avoid doing so.

I also found this post by DodgeTweaker interesting. He mentions TDO6 Compressor which is used on the 20G?

Ah hem.

Yo, yo, kidz! You heard about da Stage 3R from dem Mopar punks? Lissen up, yo! First off, you get a bitchin TD05HR-15GK2-10cm^2 turbo with an integrated manifold. Whats good is an integrated manifold you ask? Try less weight, less leaks, fewer parts, smaller total package, and faster catalyst light off. That right you tree huggers, I said FASTER CATALYST LIGHT OFF!! AN integrated manifold also means you get to use the stock oil lines, coolant lines, and heat sheild. The manifold and turbine housing are made out of a Nyresist D5 high nickel cast steel. That ain't your daddy's cast iron we talkin about! D5 is a bad mixture able to handle exhaust temps of 1750F for a long, long time. 1750F is hot enough to light up the whole manifold bright yellow. What is a 15GK2? Yo, it is a compressor off of a big badass TD06, thats what! Pull the compressor of the big slow TD06 and slap it on a fast, responsive TD05. To make things lightening quich those Mopar nuts speced out a TiAl turbine wheel. BLING!! That's TITANIUM ALUMINIDE, yo! A high tech ceramic composite that its half the weight of normal steel turbine wheels. What's this all mean? Faster boost build than what it takes you to clench your sphincters!

Enough about the turbo, let's talk about the OTHER parts in the kit. You get a 3 Bar MAP and TIP sensor so the powertrain control module (PCM) know what’s going on up to 30 psi of boost. Mopar also throws in 4 680 cc/min high flow fuel injectors capable of delivering the fuel you need on the top end and give you a decent idle and start up. To supply the injectors, the kit comes with a high flow, high pressure fuel pump. This little devil looks stock, but it can pump out 180 lph of fuel at 75 psi. Running 75 psi instead of the stock 58 psi delivers about 10-15% more fuel. Like I said before, high flow is one thing but geeting the car to idle is another. To help out those fire hose injectors deliver tiny squirts at 75 psi, a new fuel rail with and integrated RETURNLESS 1:1 pressure regulator is included. How does a returnless regulator work? Who the hell knows!

The best for last! The kit comes to you with a fully calibrated PCM. That’s right, chump! No need to put your local dyno operator’s kid through college. This thing has hundreds of hours of testing on an engine dyno, driving in hot weather, cold weather, and at high altitude all stuffed inside. It is also backed by 250 hours of durability testing at peak power and peak torque. Turn the key and drive. No messing with “nasty holes in your fuel map”, dude!

Oh yeah! I almost forgot. It comes with all of the equipment for Turbo Toys. If you don’t know what that is, let me direct you to the SEARCH button at the top of your screen.

All of this for around $3600!

Have you guys mounted the ceneter section in the manifold and checked waste gate fitment? Will I need to relocate the waste gate mounting points? I really want to run a stock or S2 WGA for stock appearance.
