It has to make more then 440hp. I made 410 with NO ported exhaust or head, stock s3 o2 housing, full 2 1/2" exhaust, 2 1/2" cai and no race gas.
Come on now Walt.
At that point the turbo becomes the restriction.
I figured the exhaust side is a big restriction atleast on my setup. But maybe not. 440hp may be the limit.
The scroll area on the S3 is listed at 10cm2 which is about as big as it gets for that size turbo. A TD06HR wheel would be the upgrade but what kind of affect would remain to be seen. I'm not even sure they make a reverse rotation wheel that size?
It makes no sense to go any bigger of a wheel other than the 44lb. You can go 10s with this turbo. If you want to go faster....its time to step it up [plain and simple]
I say this whole statemant is very true!!! Any larger the the 44 and surge would be unbeliveable I get a good amout now!! 10's are very possible with this set up it gives you the topend that the stock S3 was missing
jwcardy, yoursetup inspired me to do the same, im going to go s3 this year on my new acr. s3 with fm upgraded wheel with the dcr surge porting and hopefully fm will have a manifold for the s3 like they do for the e2 if they dont already. other wise ill get aarons. s3 for me now!!

Sorry I should clarify, bigger turbine wheel.
A TD06 turbine wheel mated to a 49lb compressor wheel (50trim) would be very interesting
I will be recieving something from Forced Performance that I think is very close to what you stated above. Their new evogreen turbo's wheels in an S3 housing. Two things I'm not 100% sure on. They list 2 diff flow numbers for their billet compressor wheel. One area on their website they say 47lbs. a min and somewhere else it says 700cfm. I did the math and that calculates to 49lbs. a min. That and they don't say exactly what turbine wheel they use. Just how many blades it has and that it is larger in diameter than the stock one. I'll let everyone know how it does when I receive it.
It's a 47lb wheel. Highest dyno on an evo was 470 i believe.
stg3 w/toys Injen catback and dp (I have the Thermal R&D combo w/cat) Maxxfab 3inch o2 On My List crane 14 cams I might get these or Crower I like your torque curve unorthodox cam sprockets One My List kinetic 60mm tb I have 55mm FBM unit for time being ported intake manifold FBM version JMB ultimate intake AEM CAI Form & function ported and coated exhaust manifold On My List DCR oil pump/windage tray and big filter kit Considering SAFCII Neo version AGP w/g Refuse to buy there products, look elsewhere MPSC drag rotors 9lbs Interesting... CM stg4 clutch and aluminum flywheel Between that at ACT DCR oil modifier Considering CTI hotside pipe. Did that help?
Send me a PM I'm still gathering part for install I believe in Sept.
new dyno sheet, from last week at realtune, i made 421whp on one pull, but this sheet looked a bit better, we were haivng trouble with hom as you can see i kicke dout around 5800rpm, 650cc injectors are being used next week along with some new plugs and a new intercooler, should see some better gains, plus cams wern't tuned, sitting at 0 0.

Nice sheet man, it looks like your not hitting full boost until 4k+??

Sheet is ''Ok''. It will look much nicer later next week.
That might look that way on the dyno, but not in the real world. I slow the spool down on the dyno.
