Hi,
ATP 3071r with14PSI Spring /DW750s/3“Exhaust/4“intake
If I am on PCM controlled boost with 14 PSI spring, the turbo spooling later than if the PCM-boostcontroll is off and only 14 Psi spring is on ?!?
BUT WHY??? Is it possible that the wastegate duty cycle start to early?
you need a boost controller with a ball and spring and there is no reason you should not be boosting 20psi

sounds like you need a MBC or EBC (assuming there are no leaks in the exhaust mani) what happens with a spring only is the pressure on the underside of the WG valve with any pressure referance will allow the WG to open slightly slowing the spool (bleeding much needed exhaust energy), a MBC/EBC will eliminate that referance signal untill you want it there and that will eliminate the valve on your WG from leaking ....faster spool
you only want the WG to see signal when you want it to open not before
Super rich with little timing is referred to as anti-lag. Doing that without full PCM control or EMS isn't happening. The average person just does a leaner AFR to help spool.
