Default Spark plugs to use?

Hey guys I recently changed out the factory champion spark plugs in my SRT and I noticed it runs worse with the Bosch Platinums so I measured the gaps again and even put the champions back in to compare and it runs and starts better with the champions. What do you guys run with or any suggestions? Thanks

Platinums aren't recomended for boosted applications because the tips stay hot.

So run copper or iridium. I have NGK Iridiums @ .040''

Check under the hood for the white plate with the Champion and NGK part numbers. There is also a gap number listed for both, .050 The car came with Champion, but I replaced them with NGK. I have read the Champion work just as well.

Yup. Cheapo copper plugs replaced every 20k miles will be your best bet.

I'm running 4306's. I think I might open the gap up to .040

Over the years turbododge's have hated platinum plugs. I recommend on using NGK vpower's. Never an issue with them.

Doesn't mean it was a good idea.

NGK 4306 plugs all day. For the average car I say gap to .035. I've had WAY too many issues with Iridium plugs blowing out on high boost applications, even on stock turbos on 22psi spikes. NEVER have had a issue with 4306's, even at 30psi on my old 30r with pump/meth. I've also always gotten less KR with 4306's too.
