Oil light - SRT Forums

Ok so kinda new here so I've searched but haven't found anything. So I recently I'd a oil change and then went start back up. Noticed with just electric on the oil light Is on but once I start the car the light disappears? Anyone know what's going on there?

The oil light comes on with the key in on position.

Yes bc it telling you the oil pressure is low.

Once u start it the key goes back to the on position. And oil pressure is building up so light goes off.

yes thats normal;unless it turns back on when the engine is running,then thats not good.

im pretty sure that is a function of most cars. I know my Magnum and numerous cars I have had in the past will have the oil light on with the key just in the on position.

Yeah mines on for a split second after I start the car and then goes right off I think I never paid attention to the light before so it never came to mind it was there and I was just worried lol
