its actually not that bad. we have a larger compressor housing than the evo8's do. its a smaller jump for us then for them

i have no idea what wheel it is, so i wont say a word. but if you dont mind posting sizes, that will give these guys an idea of how good yoru setup is.

tex, the 3147 makes 420 hp @20psi on a great tune. my buddies in florida hit 420 atthat psi. the 3147 will max out around 450hp.

mike, the numbers are approximate, on an average tune. i didnt want to hunt down EXACT peak numbers for each setup

next u should do write on how to pick a turbo for u. explaining how to read a compressor map. flow vs psi and all.

the Evo 8 compressorhousing and the S3 compressorhousing are nearly idenical for volume = A/R value

the Evo 8 compressor housing, even with the stock 16G comp wheel was notorious for experiencing compressor surge issues, and temp issues

installing a 20G wheel into a S3 comp housing will only greatly increase those issues...

..thus, they re-designed and came out with the much more generous (larger) Evo 9 comp housing, due to those issues

but the stage3 is a bigger inducer meaning more likely to surge, but doenst in its housing. i have yet to have an issue, but we will see

no pics. just had my machine shop port the heck out of the compressor housing. really didnt have much to do with it. gave him the wheel and the turbo. he did the rest
