NY srt needs help - SRT Forums

Hey ok so here's the problem i have a fully built motor forged internals and piston heads pretty much rebuilt the whole motor dropped in a big turbo and 272 cams finally have the car tuned and Vac psi is around 10-11 and i have a p-300 code, my tuner and I cant figure out the code for the life of us. I did wires, plugs and a coil pack swap, but the vode keeps coming back an opinions im also on a stage 0 pcm. I can provide a full list of mods if needed. Also should Vac be higher then 10? Im trying to get this done cause i gotta get the car inspected and reregistered.

The P0300 code is probably do to the cams. Your tuner should be able to turn your misfire monitor off.

As far as vacuum, it sounds about right with cams.

all right cool i just wanted to make sure that was right for the vac to, but will i still be able to pass the NY inspection still? and nsrt4 im on long island.

I dont know what new york checks.

If you have a cat and no CEL I dont know why you wouldnt pass.

Well im catless but have the defouler mod and NY is you gotta have no cel and they hook ur car up to the computer to check your monitors.

If they dont look under the car and dont do a sniffer test, youll be fine.

You shouldn't have any issues passing smog in NY. They just plug into your obd2 port and run a scan. No sniff test, Atleast upstate

ny i am on long island as well.... yeah no sniffer just plugs into the obd port... who is tuning ur car? shoot me a text we can talk ill try to help you out 6314382365

All right will do and ya i know they just plug the comp into the obd port but you gotta have no CEL and if i turn the misfire monitor off it wont pass cause itll read NOT READY yet... and ENZO racing tuned it and Force Fed Enginering has been helping me out as well.

I was told to get a stage 1 pcm and then get it flashed to my VIN along with a skim key in order to pass as well......

Most states allow you one monitor to read not ready.

And a stage 1 PCM isnt going to help you.
