Mines a t3, .70 cold, .82 hot.

Yeah, the T04Z is practically identical to the 37R. Sorry, I don't have a medium boost number...kind of wishing I had, now. Don't know if this helps you out at all, but it put down 391 HP on 13.5 psi.

The specs of the turbo are the same as yours, with the exception of the turbine housing. It's a .63 precision 5-bolt housing, which plumbs the wastegate to the turbine housing instead of the manifold. Kind of lame if you ask me, but it's the only way AMS will sell it. A .82 4 bolt housing should flow a little better on the top end, and make a bit more power.

Damnnn! Chuck. I just pointed out in a thread about a week ago how your car held together at 600hp and now 6 more runs at over 600!! Just incredible! just one more reason why I am going to get a stock lower again when the time comes.

I just LOL'd! No, really...I'm lucky I didn't have anything in my mouth, because it would have ended up shooting out my nose and onto the keyboard...even if it was food, and not a drink!

That is crazy power on a stock shortblock, insane power at that elevation!

To clear up a couple things PRECISION TURBO stated the T3 .63 A/R 5-bolt turbine housings we use flow as well or even better than a Garrett T3 .82 A/R, which AMS verified in testing when this and other AMS turbo kits were developed.

On top of that the turbine housing is ported, mostly to match the flange to the housing and derestrict flow into the wastegate. If you've ever laid a T3 flange on a T3 turbine housing you'd see a 1/16" or even in some places an 1/8" step into the housing from the flange. That is port-matched and blended, along with opening up the wastegate hole and putting a nice radius from the turbine inlet to the wastegate outlet for better boost control.

Precision does not make a T3 .82 A/R 5-bolt, but they do have a 4-bolt and a v-band discharge in that configuration. At that point you'd have to modify the header and mount a wastegate on the collector.

I don't know enough of the math to even TRY to guess how much the difference in elevation changes the numbers (and dynos are for tuning, not bragging rights so there's no point anyway) but I've seen a couple GT37R Evos put down over 700 WHP on our dyno so I think there's a bit left in yours. Though I don't blame you for not wanting to push it further. =)

Almost forgot, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Good info, there! I had read in a few different forums (primarily Evo forums) about the flow of a .63 precision housing being equal, or greater to the garrett .82 housing, stated by AMS representatives. I had also once heard that there was some porting/machining done to the Precision hotside housing by AMS to improve flow even further. This confirms that. I suppose that is why it works so well.

Thanks for the compliments, and hats off for an awesome kit!

You're very welcome, and it's obvious you're putting it to good use. =)

Just curious, when did you purchase your kit?
