This might open up a can of worms but what would be the benefit of de-stroking the 2.4l to a 2.3l? faster revving ? less rotating mass?

Rage tec. (nemo) did this long ago 10,200 Rpm.
The old 2.2l crank bolts in our car, but a dry sump and other mods will need to be done.
Was looking into this, our crank setup is limited because of the massive stroke.
Best way is Fm long rods and be happy to rev to 8500. No need to go past that unless ur All Motor.

But if you want 10k just for bragging rights, get a custom crank with a short stroke.

If you are S3 then there is no need for anything over 7k. You need a big turbo and a proper tube mani with a GREAT head to use 9K in RPM. If you want it to say you have it then you are just going about it like a ricer. Get with Aaron at Realtune and tell him what your goal is and go from there.
