is the dcr mount bigger than the stocker? is that way you moved the eng/trans over to replace it?
Before this thread there was only 2 ways to get the stock mount out. Others said this couldn't be done. #1 Remove motor #2 Remove timing belt Now Racerx Mod #3 way leave motor+ trans connected and timing belt on. The stock mount is bigger in the fender frame side, the Dcr is smaller. Shifting the motor and transmission to one side ,makes it easier to take a motor mount out.

My buddy removed his mount without removing really anything except both engine mounts upper and lower on that side . Raised and lowered the motor. Didn't remove the timing belt with just the covers

Good write up. I'll be installing mine soon with the dcr k-frame mount and the dcr pro-lite motor mount bracket. Motor will be solid as heck and some weight savings too.

I hope it lowers 60' times and stops axles from breaking. Got to install new dcr 12.9 bolt when it comes in, I sent him a pm.

got a question for racerx..... did you replace your mount because the stock mount was bad or just for performance? also if anyone remembers with the stock mount out does any part of the rubber feel deflated/soft like you can push it in with ur finger?

Replaced the mount because it was blown, like a flat tire waited along time to replace. Was hoping for a vendor to step up and make one, one said they would, But didn't. I was going to mod the stock one, but DCR steped up to the plate and made this one. Very happy they did and @ a good price! The is one of the most underlooked problems...

The is one of the most underlooked problems... What do you mean like a flat tire? Does this mount have fluid inside? also did your car vibrate alot when it was blown? |

Yes there is fluid inside, every time I would let the clutch out from a dead stop, I would feel a clunk and bang on passenger side.

Thread revival! You just described my issue almost, except rather than a clunk..its more of a rattle, crunch noise. Happens when releasing the clutch from a dead stop, on take off, 2nd gear and in between shifts and right after letting off the gas. Would you guys say my bolt snapped, or the mount is worn? I've already had solid motor and trans mount. This may not be a headache for you, but its a big one for me.
