I don't know too much about turbos except basic shit but I know about spool up and certain turbos having better power bands than others. How efficient is a 60-1 on a stock motor with basic bolt on's and what other turbos out there are much better for a stock motor than a 60-1? Thanks

I wouldn't waste my time on 60-1 with a stock motor. I'd look more along the lines of a 50trim, s256, or GT3076. They are much better choices for a stock motor car. Their old school but get the job DONE! Will you been running race gas or pump gas when you race?

Nah I'm just wondering. I will be going with a Delta 55 hopefully during the Summer but there's a guy in my area with a 60-1 who thinks it's the shit and likes to make fun of 50 trims and such... He's in the thread 60-1 vs 60 trim. I told him IMHO a 60-1 is too big for a stock motor and then I get flamed for it. It was just my input so I wanted some real info on it from people who actually know because I don't know too much and apparently some people around here don't either.

I don't like the spool on it, but they can be had for fairly cheap. I believe there is one in the FS section for like $250. Couldn't be all that bad on a built head.
...well, probably is but that's still cheap. |

Man I seen that thread always at the top of the active topics.... should have paid a visit to it. I've only seen 1 fast 60-1. Rage built it. It made like 515hp or something like that at 27psi with E85. Car really really ripped. All it had was a built bottom end, turbo kit, ems, and supporting mods. Car was fast put could have been a little better with the right turbo. 60-1 would work for a stock motor but wouldn't be ideal. much better turbo choices out there.

Want a 60-1 killer? The D55 is a good choice, but there are better still. for around the same cost factor. The new D60 is a monster, with the right Fuel and the right tune would easy kill a 60-1. your major issue will be traction to 80-90 mph...after that it only blows them off on a shift for a second... ![]() NachO
