Daniel427ss keep me updated if you put a bleed on your wastegate vac line. I was really thinking about trying that myself, but not sure if it would allow us to hold boost. My guess is spike and drop.

i see that happening maybe on the bleed, but on an orifice tube (in-line)... hmmmm maybe itll work better. im going to try the bleed first though since i have a lil homedepot boost controller(think is something they use for gas lines) that may work as the bleed.
ok well...
today i beated the crap out of my car and messed around with boost.
in 2nd gear I was able to hold 25psi with a slight spike 26-27
3rd i was able to hold 25psi still but spiking 28 29 30 i got little pops(lean backfire?) when spiking so id let off the gas n pressed again taken it slow n then it stayed on 25psi. if i was to race someone ill take the jump but spiking high . so nahhh
this was with a slight bleed in line before the EBC. ((note i also changed settings on EBC too to compensate if there was a big ass spike or change))
I also wanted to put it inline but after the EBC n see if there was any difference. Or put an orifice inline too, before n/or after the ebc... But nahh i think it was going to be too much beating on the poor thing. so my guess... damn i still want to try an orifice but then wut size? ..... so i think maybe we should get another wastegate actuator
NATSU what do u think?? which wastegate should we get?

good stuff man. I'm spiking 24~25 dropping to 20 by redline. If I could hold 24 that would be awesome! Are you going to pursue the bleed mod anymore? I would deff. be interested in this!

I have no problem spiking 25psi on the bigger hahn wastegate(with tru-boost), problem is holding boost till redline .. No matter what I do it still drops down to 21-22. This making top end tuning impossible (no port fueler).I'm begining to think it's the wastegate thats plaguing all of us. That agp wastegate mod is looking better to me everyday. Anyone have a hahn wastegate that actually spikes and maintains the same psi till redline?
i had the same problem with the heavy "and overpriced " wast gate and tru boost untill i found my boost leaks when i went to do a tune run i had all slack taken out of wga arm "and the canector on the end" tru boost set on 30% with spring of 26 psi ,the first run mashed gas and i herd loud machine gun sound so i tried it again 34psi!!!!!!! pulled like hell i was pushing like 22 at 3500 rpm loud machine gun noise again , last run turned off tru boost mashed gas 36 psi "thats what the gauge said but its not suposed to go that high" loud brrraaappp then pop ic blew a weld about 8" down the side of end tank, well the point of this is the turbo system is sound wga is good like me you probly have boost leaks that dont show up untill around 20+ psi "i drove around for 6 months with bost leaks cursing hahn" check all ic/boost hoses clean them out and use a small amount of hair spray on the hoses to reconect this will lock them in place, these symptoms are almost identical to mine
oh if any one else has had that loud machine gun braaappp sound please let me know what that is

before i did my testing, i made sure all my lines were effin tight, really tight,
like i said it did hold 25psi but i was spiking to 30 n that kinda hurt me
me too!!! with boost leak tester, but still 20+ psi is a huge force and will make leaks ....use a boost leak tester up to 30 psi when your blow off valve opens thats the end of the test 20 psi into 2.5 in tube will exert 1500 pounds of force

it was a mistake thought the gauge was malfunctioning till ic blew up

wow im the same but on 23psi how r u not spiking n holding the 28psi, ((oh but i have the stg2inj. n no piggyb. )) with all that n u only did 406hp? was it on racingfuel? wut does it do at the track?

all that? all what? honestly, i really dont have that much compared to others makin similar #'s on the 20g(actual power mods:short ram intake, bfmic, 3"downpipe w/dump, hahn kit. still have stock catback exh.,stock throttle body, stock cams, no 3" o2 housing, and no port work at all ). oh, and no this was not on racefuel, just 93oct. and meth inj.. im using agp wga instead of hahns and holds boost nicely. and as for track times, ive been but nothin worth postin about . my driving skills on the track suck ass ( im not to proud to admit it)
