Yeah thats what I am talking about. 16's were are you @?
So how are the port fuelers treating you guys? I am a bit curious Also dont forget to post up useful info and other things about your setup. So others can get a feeler on these turbos.

I have the Portfueler and it is AWESOME!!!. I went from having 650's/SAFC2 to the Portfuler setup and it is way better. No more stumbleing or hesitating. I am not a big tuner at all so this setup was perfect for me. Anyone that basically wants a Plug N Play setup just like the Stage3 Kit with more power go with the 16 or 20G from hahn with the Portfueler. It is also cheaper than the Stage3 Kit.

EBC's works best
mbc's fall quick for some reason on these turbo. With two types I had I would set it and it would fall back 4 psi were I set it. Like it would spike to 20 real quick and fall to 16 then hold. Or you can just run striaght off the wga, that works real well. Or set the wga to a certain psi (the psi you want it at) and barley tighten the mbc(the loosest it would go with out falling out). Doing this your setting a bleed in route, kind of making a small surge to speed up the spool up. Then you make small adjustments until you get it were you want it (spool up/spike) but if you get surge turn it back. Surge is that chachachacha noise you hear when spooling up.

I got the Turbo XS HPBC and I set it at 18psi and it drops to 15 everytime. Do I need a stronger spring or do I have a leak? I will check for leaks soon but does the spring only hold 15psi?

I have S2 no toys and am wondering how a portfueler will help at all? I looked at their website and Hahn said they gained power just by adding a port fueler??? S2 runs rich as hell to begin with!
I'm torn between S3 and a 16g/20g setup with the portfueler. I cant really get rid of stage 2 cause I have an 05 and all those CEL's they throw without some sort of staged computger. I bought my S2 for $600 so it would be kinda pointless to go out and get a stage 1 if I dont have to. |

you cant just use the portfueler by itself. It has to be used with a big turbo or else you woud run really really rich. It says on there website that the kit works with stage 2 also. So I would say yeah go for it!!!The 20G I mean....

Hmm...here's a quote from their site.... "With our car in stock Stage 0 form, we installed our innovative new PortFueler system, our Fuel Mapper, a boost controller, and a modified wastegate actuator. Results were good, with 280 whp and low 13-second dragstrip performance. Power had been greatly improved, but the stock turbo proved to be hard to control at high RPM...the typical boost dropoff was evident. Bill decided that the stock turbo was simply a waste of further development time." In any event, the thing that I'm having a hard time with, is that with Stage 3, you have PCM limited boost in 1st and 2nd, which obviously helps with traction. You dont have anything like that with the Hahn system. Can any Hahn owners chime in on their experiences with this? Thanks! |
