Default GT35R .70intake?

A buddy of mine has a nice gt35r ar.82exhaust ar.70intake that i could get for a steal.

I was planning on buying the AGP 50trim, but i could save alot of money.

I searched on the forums, and all i got was .82 exhaust, but nothing about the intake size.

Basicly my question is, whats the advantage/downfall of having the .70intake..or is it a standard size?

Im wanting a turbo capable of 400-420whp, already have all the suporting mods.

Thanks.

im aware the 50 trim is slightly better at the power levels im looking for because it spools sooner.

However i could save alot of money by going the 35R route, my question is just: is the .82ex .70in the standart size most ppl are running?

The "S" cover (.70 A/R compressor cover) is the standard cover for the 35R.

^^ To expand, that compressor cover has a 4" inlet, with a 2.5" outlet. You will need either an aftermarket 2.5" hot pipe, or some sort of coupler reducer solution to be able to connect to the stock pipe with that compressor cover.

With that being said, the only way I really like building 35R's are with that cover and the .82 hot side.

If you get the 35r I will trade you for a 50 trim with 4,000 miles on it.

third guy I know of who might be trading for that 35r. If you don't want anywhere near 600hp maxed out and want the best efficiency for what the boost levels you plan to run I would stay with the 50trim. You will need a built engine to get the best results out of that 35r.

if your driving this mainly on the street get the 50 trim. A 3582 is a lag monster.

While your potential power is much greater with the 35R the time and money it costs to get there is quite a bit more. For 400whp the 50 trim will get you there on

22 psi
Stock motor
650 inj
SCT or the like tuning
3" exhaust

I personally wouldn't put a 35r on a stock motor'd street car. You wont get the full potential out of it.
