Got some of the numbers back, here os a damn good estimate;
New Mopar crank machined to proper clearances and Ion Nitride coated, Eagle rods, custom Wiseco 8.5:1 pistons w/rings (ceramic coated on top and friction coated on the skirts), ACL rod bearings, Mopar/ACL main bearings and completely balanced as an assembly - $1895.00 as a package
Not really necessary for him to do that, this is a DIY kit, he builds short blocks mainly. That and according to what he wrote they do their own bearings and pistons in house, so, it's apples to oranges...
We're just helping the average person who's been wanting a 2.6 stroker and never could afford it, we're trying to make this a more obtainable setup. DCR does their own thing, their own developing, and they put together their own kit that they've tested and stand behind, you can't fault that, why would they drop their prices if they do custom stuff and we're trying to help with inferior stuff?
Steve, Ruiz, and I will all have this motor setup if the first one succeeds, but we all have our budgets when it comes to spending money. We also have to work around the customer appointments and events that effect the shop. We should have one of these strokers in one of our cars within a couple months, or at least I know I will.
