Default e2 on stock manifold max boost

I recently purchased a forward motion e2 turbo but unfortunately will have to run a stock manifold for now. I will be installing it tomorrow and was curious with my list of mods what the max boost on the manifold would be to keep the egt's down. currently on the stock turbo i spike 24psi and hold 15-16psi. i pull a decent amount of fuel on the safc and im still in the 11.4-11.7 afr range so i should have enough for hopefully 20psi atleast on the e2.

my mods are:
intake
3" downpipe and downpipe back
agp billet wastegate
evo fmic w/ custom piping and tbolts
turbosmart bov
ptp 75psi fuel mod
catch can and check valve
walbro 255
stage 1 injectors
ftp top end oil mod
safc and msd tach adaptor
ngk wideband
30/30 boost gauge
turbo xs boost controller (likely will not use with the e2)
devils own meth kit M5 nozzle (have an m3 as well if 2 nozzles are needed)
mopar stage 3 clutch
pwerks trans

im sure i forgot some things. thanks for any input.

You will run out of fuel before your egts get out of control, so start at 20 and work your way up (without pulling anything on the SAFC) until you start to lean out, then back it down a notch and do your SAFC thing from there.

My guess is boosting and holding 21-22psi is gonna be it for your fuel + meth.

What mix of meth are you using?

I would keep the boost to 20-22 psi for longevity reasons as long as you have the fuel to support it. More can be done though if you choose.

thanks for the input. im running straight -20 right now but i was mixing one gallon of vp m1 and one gallon of -20 to make roughly 66% meth mix. i started with my safc zero'd all across and upped the boost to around 21 spike. then i pulled between 5-8% across. its hot as shit right now so ill will fine tune it later when it cools down outside.

do you mean spiking or holding 20-22? also what should i roughly be able to hold to give me an idea if i have a boost leak until i have access to a tester? right now i have it set up to spike at 21. my eyes were glued to the wideband though so im not sure what im holding. the install was a piece of cake btw. granted i work on cars everyday and was using a lift lol.

I saw an old thread from FM when the E1's barely came out and they spoke of spiking 24 and such, so i'd say go crazy with it

Get an ext wastegate dude....you'll get a lot more gains out of that turbo

I have a friend who had a PTP ported stocker. He used to hold 24-25, then it started leaking oil. He only used it for a year. Keep it to 21-22 like FM suggests and you shouldnt have any longevity issues, otherwise plan on rebuilding your turbo on a yearly basis.
btw, I have the same turbo (E2) and similair mods, except for the SAFC and intercooler. Im installing the turbo tommorrow.
