Does anyone else experience this... - SRT Forums

I just recently got my SRT and love it. It has some querks that I am slowly weeding out. One things that's happening is it sort of sounds like a dirt devil. I understand that the turbo creates vacuum but it is really loud. Also every once in a while it will lose boost even when I am getting on it. I am thinking maybe boost leak or compressor side issue. Anyone have any other ideas?

Boost least test

Check all vacuum lines.

Okay thanks! Some idiot had it before me and rigged some stuff together so I am weeding out the issues. I have some pics of some inlets/outlets I cant run down that I will post pics of soon!

Check all your vacuum lines and boost leak test.

A lot of people are dicks on here, sometimes ya get lucky on which people will answer/help out.

Is there a single srt4 in the world that is not rigged up to hell and back. Making my car run right was a huge undertaking. Its like, why can't people just leave things... Correct?

So true. Some people should not be allowed to own cars like these at all... It's painful some of the things they had done to mine... So glad she wasnt too far gone!

Another issue is in neutral it won't rev past 2500ish and first gear it hesitates at around 4000 rpm. Any ideas? Could it be linked to a boost leak? My talon had this issue with a boost leak but it was every gear not just first.

Also check and make sure your not over boosting and getting fuel cut.

Never even thought of that! How exactly would I know if I am over boosting. In neutral it doesn't even hardly build boost so I'm not sure how to check that...

You wont get boost parked. Punch it in 3rd gear from 3krpm and see what the boost gauge says. If you have a dsp or scangauge, check it that way. Stock gauges are notorious for not being accurate, but it should get you in the ballpark.
