Default d44 - 50t .48

at what point will the 50t with a .48 housing out perform the d44? is their a certain psi? after talking to agp, the d44 seems to be as equal as the fifty power wise. would that mean that the next up from a d44 is the fifty with a .63?

AGP told you their 50t and their d44 are equal power wise?? I kinda think you may have misunderstood something they said...44lb/min turbo vs 50 lb/min turbo...those turbos aren't equal

i could have worded it better, my conversation with agp lead me to believe the 50t .63 was the upgrade to the d44. i was wondering psi for psi would the 50t .48 make more power than the d44 with the same supporting mods? same fuel, exhaust, etc...

Having the 50 trim with a .48 would be more
beneficial if you chose to upgrade to the .63

you MIGHT get 10-15whp out of the 50T/.48 on the same tune. due to the higher flowing wheel. BUT at the risk of surging also. The 50T/.63 AR is def a upgrade to a D44 as it can put out upwards of 20-40whp on the same tune imo. Depending on mods of course.

example.. My car on the 27spike-24 hold makes 418. While a 50T/.48 would maybe do 430ish while the 50T/.63 will do 440-450..With enough fuel and a good tune of course.

But IMO if its TQ you want this is the turbo to get. there have been three of us in the VERY high 400wtq range on pump and meth

although the wheel is bigger the .48 a/r housing is just too small and the boost will drop off just like the d44. power band is about the same and numbers match except the d44 seems to make much more tq.

Thats because 25psi is about the limit of how much it can take without falling. Also I would need to see a log to make sure its not falling. DO NOT always trust a boost gauge imo.

And good deal on the cover.. I heard there awesome!!

The cover is awesome and it fit better than the one that came with the turbo and Yea I need to re-log it anyways to check my tune and I am using the the smaller spring and using the dtec as a BC and tuned on diablosport
